Hello,
We were going to add that first request below, and if we have another "old
world" release we could add it. As it happens in the "new world" the
top-level XML file now gets moved into the project directory just like the
other files. So in future giving the project directory will be how you
start up the program.
Just thinking for two seconds (so probably badly) about everybody's
existing projects, Rasmus is finishing off backwards compatibility. But
that just deals with stuff once you have the old project in memory. We
have to get the old project in memory using the old API. And one way
Analysis could recognise that you are trying to load up an old file is if
the argument you pass to the program ends in ".xml" rather than not. So
it might be best not to get people used to the short-cut idea just for a
short time, since we might not want folks to use this with the new API
when loading old Projects. (Well, of course we could be clever and start
to analyse the directory...)
On the second point I guess it could be done (Tim could comment better).
