Murali,
No I don't get any messages. I just get an indefinate hang with a
spinning ball until I force quit. I then have an option to report the
error to Apple (which I have done). I thought that it might have been
the way that I upgraded from Tiger to Leopard. I initially did an
upgrade (not archive and install). This lead to so many problems with
permissions and the unix side of things, that I just wiped the hard
drive and did a fresh install. I had this problem with both installs.
I have upgraded to the newest X11 package 2.1.2, thinking that it
might fix the problem, but no to now avail. I actually haven't used
the 2.1.2 package yet, but the problems still persisted with 2.1.1. I
am thinking that it is an X11 problem, but I can't seem to figure out
what is causing it. Would it help (Wayne or Murali) to send the
report that comes up after I force quit X11. I am not good at reading
into all of the output contained in this file, but it might offer some
suggestions as to why this is happening.
Finally, Torleif, which version of CCPNMR are you running. I am
running the python 2.5 version...could this be a problem with python
2.5? Maybe this doesn't occur in the Python 2.4 version. I will let
you know if the 2.1.2 version of X11/Xquartz fixes the problem.
Thanks for the input.
