We are currently experiencing the same problems - when you attempt to
create a new assignment, we see the following error:
"Blackboard Integration Error
Unable to create assignment.
error: 430"
I've been in touch with TurnInIn support about the problem, and they
pointed me to the System Admin tab in Blackboard, Building Blocks, and
the Properties page for TurnitinUK Assignment. This shows the following
error:
"Connection Status
Failed
Error Code: 431
Error Message: Error trying to connect back to the Blackboard web
service.
Please check your Account ID and Shared Secret Key.
If the problem persists, please contact the TurnitinUK HelpDesk with
your Blackboard email address, the account id, and the error code and
message below."
I've forwarded this information to TurnItIn support, and they are
currently investigating the problem. I will post again when we have a
solution. We have Blackboard 7.3.159.7.

Subject: Turnitin building bloc problem
Dear all,
Apologies for cross posting
We have a problem with the Turnitin building bloc for Blackboard 7.2. It
is
repeatedly failing, which results in a *connection failed* error and an
inability to create new Turnitin submission points. The only solution we
have found is to restart the application - not very satisfactory;-)
Does anyone have any suggestions or advise?
many thanks
Hilary
