Dear all happy new year with health and happiness!
During my days in Access to Communication and Technology I had the honor of
meeting an old couple from Stoke-On-Trent, Mr and Mrs Grimsley (I am using
their name with Mr Grimsley's permission). Mrs Grimsley, who unfortunately
has now passed away, had rheumatoid arthritis and was unable to use her
hands. During one of my visits to their home she had expressed to me her
desire to share her experiences with the disease with everybody, by
writting a book. As I said, Mrs Grimsley was not able to use her hands and
in addition, she had never used a computer before in her life. So you can
imagine the look on her face when I suggested to her the use of a computer
with voice recognition to put her ideas 'on paper'. After many ups and
downs, with the continuous support of her husband but above all with her
determination, the book was completed and Mr Grimsley has managed to
publish it.
This is the reason of this post. The book is now for sale and the money
goes to a very good cause as you can read in the attached book review.
Those interested in obtaining a copy of it, please contact Mr Grimsley at

Having read the book myself I certainly recommend it. Besides the very
interesting story behind it, Mrs Grimsley has a very entertaining way of
writting.
And to wet your apetite, I leave you with the very first line of the "A Tug
of War", by Pat Grimsley:
"I can write! I can write! Whoopee!! It feels marvellous."
Thank you.
Chris
