The County Record Office in Cambridge will be closing to the public for four weeks from Monday 11th February, for much-needed refurbishment.
Work will include the removal of a wall to create a more open, spacious and welcoming space, redecoration, re-carpeting, a new layout, and new furniture. As well as creating a brighter, more comfortable and modern environment for researchers, the new layout will provide some additional seating to accommodate more readers.
Cambridgeshire Archives and Local Studies' Huntingdon Record Office in Huntingdon and Cambridgeshire Collection (currently based at Milton Road Library in Cambridge), will be open as normal.
The Record Office will re-open on Tuesday 11th March.
