Dear colleagues,
A session entitled <Landscape Legacies: Archaeological Approaches to
Domestication in the Landscape> is planned for the upcoming World
Archaeological Congress (WAC) in Dublin, Ireland (29 June to 4 July
2008). The aim of this session is to discuss the relationship between
anthropogenic transformations of the landscape and the use and
intensification of plant and animal resources. A brief outline can be
found at http://www.ucd.ie/wac-6/programme/237.html
The deadline for submitting paper proposals is February 22, 2008.
Submission entails providing a title and a 150 word abstract via
the Paper Proposal Form (http://www.ucd.ie/wac-6/proposal_papers.html).
It is important that the Theme be identified as <Land and
Archaeology> and the Session as <Landscape Legacies...[237]> at the time
of registering paper proposals. Eventually participants will be asked to
send through an extended (2-3 page) abstract and/or paper draft by 15
June 2008 in order to increase the cohesion of the session
(pre-circulation), facilitate the role of the discussant,
and ease the way towards future publication.
Please do not hesitate to contact me ([log in to unmask]) if you have any
questions about the character of the session and/or if you are
interested in submitting a paper proposal. Further details on WAC 2008,
including registration fees and travel support, can be found in the main
webpage of the conference: http://www.ucd.ie/wac-6/
With best regards,
Manuel
