This is your chance to be part of that incredible work. Data Manager Vacancies (2 posts)
Join us and you will play a vital role in providing full clinical data management support for clinical studies within the CSU portfolio. In this senior role, reporting directly to the CSU Manager, you will be responsible for overall data management for one or more clinical trials, working closely with our team of CSU Research Nurses to collate and check study data, ensuring data completeness and quality. That includes setting up study database definitions and designing data entry forms, ensuring trial data is entered and coded in a timely and accurate manner, undertaking data validation exercises, and contributing as a valued member of the team at all stages of trial planning through to final data validation and analysis. You will also be involved in updating our website, producing trial progress reports and visiting participating sites to undertake monitoring if required. For some studies you will be given the opportunity to extend your clinical research skills by acting as trial co-ordinator.
We're looking for a graduate with an MSc or equivalent postgraduate qualifications in a relevant science, who has already gained experience as a clinical trials data manager. You'll be highly IT literate and possess excellent computing skills, with hands-on experience of designing study databases and case-report forms. You'll be familiar with handling and validating clinical trial data, using databases such as Access, Oracle, Macro Trial Manager or other clinical data management software programmes. Highly organised and capable of meticulous attention to detail, you will be using the Macro clinical trial management software package, for which training will be given. As this will involve liaising with colleagues at the Medical Research Council's Clinical Trials Unit in London from time to time, and attending trial management meetings, you must be willing to travel.
