UNIVERSITY of GLASGOW
FACULTY OF LAW, BUSINESS AND SOCIAL SCIENCE
DEPARTMENT OF URBAN STUDIES
Quantitative Research Assistant (6 months) – either 1.0fte or 2 x 0.5 fte
£29,139 to £35,837 per annum (Grade 7)
The Researcher will work with Prof Kenneth Gibb and Dr Chris Leishman to
develop a housing model for the Scottish Government. You will lead the
compilation of primarily large-scale secondary survey datasets and assist in
the conceptualisation and econometric modelling of key economic
relationships in the economy, labour and housing markets. A background in
statistics is therefore essential, with some knowledge of econometrics
desirable.
You will also be required to write up results in a format amenable to
inclusion in research papers and reports and assist in the presentation of
research findings at national meetings. There is scope for flexibility in
terms of the appointment and we would consider either one full-time post or
two part-time posts.
If you are interested, please contact Professor Chris Leishman 0141 330 5307
or [log in to unmask], for further details.
