Teaching Fellow in Statistics and Research Methodology
We are seeking a Teaching Fellow to help expand
our Statistics and Research Methods training
programme in the UCL Institute of Child Health
(ICH) and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
This is a new post and the successful applicant
will work on the project with Dr Angie Wade,
Director of Statistics and Research Methods
Training. The role provides an exciting
opportunity for a statistically qualified
individual with a strong interest in teaching.
The Teaching Fellow will be responsible for
developing new training material as handouts,
lectures, leaflets or in e-format as
required. The training programme will be
directed at staff and student members of GOSH and
ICH. Hence the applicant must be able to
communicate statistical concepts to a
non-statistical audience. He or she should also
possess excellent written and verbal
communication skills and a relevant first degree.
Pre-existing teaching qualifications and
experience are desirable, but training will be
provided as necessary. There will be an
opportunity for the applicant to develop their
own research interests through collaboration with
staff of the joint ICH-GOSH institution. The
successful applicant will be based within the MRC
