1. Subject
The subject consists in studying the influence of the reactivity of some
gaseous pollutants on the NaCl surface. The aims of this work concern a
better understanding of the multiphase atmospheric chemistry involving sea-
salt aerosols. The results obtained in this study will be compared to
laboratory experiments.
This postdoctoral position is hosted at the Laboratory PC2A located at
Lille (FRANCE) (http://www.univ-lille1.fr/umr8522/), research unit
specialized in the field of environment (combustion and atmospheric
processes). This research work is part of a regional research programme
entitled IRENI.
2. Skills
The candidate should have a solid doctoral training formation in the
domain of molecular quantum chemistry applied to condensed phase and the
solid-gas interfaces. Use of quantum chemistry softwares like VASP and
Abinit is required. Some knowledge in numerical methods and programming
will also be a bonus.
The relevant candidature corresponds to a French native or an alien person
who defended his Ph-D thesis abroad (not in France). The monthly income is
1647€ free of charge. The postdoctoral fellowship will be attributed for 6
months and would be renewed one time.
3. Contact
Applicants should send complete and detailed curriculum vitae before
February 22nd 2008 to these 2 contacts:
Dr. Florent LOUIS, Email : [log in to unmask]
Dr. Sébastien CANNEAUX, Email : [log in to unmask]
