They weren't left to the Trevithick Society! I presume that CRO holds the
maps while the copyright holder is Hamilton-Jenkin's estate or next of kin
and that copyright persists after his death for the same period as any
written work (70 years?). Perhaps Paul will explain the situation.
Incidentally there are also microfilmed copies at the Cornwall Centre in
Redruth.
