Available from the 1 April 2008 for one year in the first instance
Working on a range of projects across a number of plant science disciplines you will provide a statistical consultancy service providing advice and assistance in the design, analysis and interpretation of experiments. You will also contribute to postgraduate taught courses for non-statisticians. Some projects may offer the opportunity for more detailed statistical investigation of data.
With a degree preferably in statistics or with a substantial statistical element or equivalent (and ideally an MSc in Statistics or Biometry) you will have practical statistical computing experience (preferably in either GenStat or R), be able to learn and understand new areas of science quickly and have excellent communication skills.
