Reminder and extension of deadline
The Research Training Network (RTN) in Modern Languages, based at the Institute of Germanic & Romance Studies (see http://igrs.sas.ac.uk/ <http://igrs.sas.ac.uk/> ) is planning to produce a series of short video clips featuring recent post-docs and their experience of the PhD viva as well as of life after the PhD and the search for an academic post. The clips will be up to 5 minutes long and will be published on the Institute's postgraduate online research training portal PORT http://port.igrs.sas.ac.uk/ <http://port.igrs.sas.ac.uk/> .
We are looking for five post-docs in any Modern Language subject who have had their viva within the last 18 months and/or have had an academic interview within the same period. The videos will be shot at the Institute of Germanic & Romance Studies (Stewart House, 32 Russell Square, London WC1B 5DN) on two days in early spring and there will be a remuneration of £60.
If you are interested, please send us a short paragraph about yourself and your research and how you would present your experience with the viva and/or the academic interview to postgraduate students.
Please send this information to both Prof Naomi Segal [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> and Dr Ricarda Vidal [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]> by Friday 11 January, 5pm.
With best wishes,
Ricarda Vidal
