The BPS Annual Conference 2008 is in Dublin 2-4 April. On Friday 4th April
11.20-12.10 Richard layard gives a keynote Lecture entitled "Therapy on
the NHS for all who need it" After lunch this is followed by a Symposium
(13.10-15.10) on "The contribution of applied psychology to improving
access to psychological therapies" organised by the DCP with Richard
Layard as Discussant. Quite a chunk of confernece devopted to this.
Perhaps there may be an opportunity to try to state the counter-arguments
from the floor? I will be at the conference (contributing to a Forum
on "The Future of the psychology Degree".) Is anyone else on the list who
is concerned about Richard Layard's proposals going to be at the Dublin
meeting?
David
