Of course, the prominence of both the two-handed backstroke and forehand in
tennis owes a debt to Gunter Brus' "action".
I was quite impressed by an exhibition of photographs documenting
the "actions" of fellow Vienna Aktionist Rudolf Schwarzkogler, curated by
the poet/critic Phyllis Rosenzweig for the Hirshhorn Museum. She usefully
dismantled the "Schwarzkogler Myth" largely popularized by Australian
critic Robert Hughes. Though many viewers could not bare to look at the
work on the walls. Here's the location of a large number of films
