Documentation Officer (Bargrave Project)
(6 month fixed term)
(Ref 052 1412 EAR)
The Dean and Chapter are looking to recruit a Documentation Officer to
document the artefacts in the Bargrave Collection using CALM software
and according to SPECTRUM and other national and international
standards. This 17th-century gentleman's 'museum' is held in the
Canterbury Cathedral Archives.
Tasks will also include overseeing the digitisation of the collection
and the production of the CD Rom and web pages. You will also promote a
greater understanding of the collection through the production of
interpretive and publicity material.
You will ideally be educated to degree level and have a postgraduate
museum studies qualification or equivalent, have experience of using
museum documentation systems, knowledge of research methods and
competence in public speaking.
