Hi Dave,
I gave a quick presentation at the SRM workshop about some client tools:
http://indico.cern.ch/materialDisplay.py?contribId=31&sessionId=14&materialId=slides&confId=21405
You can use lcg_util/GFAL (I can give you instructions for using the
latest version on lxplus) or srmcp:
http://www.dcache.org/downloads/1.8.0/dcache-srmclient-1.8.0-4.noarch.rpm
1. StoRM, CASTOR and BeStMan support srmCopy only between SRM v2.2
endpoints.
2. dCache supports srmCopy requests also between SRM v1.1 and SRM v2.2
endpoints but only starting with dCache 1.8 server.
3. DPM will implement srmCopy between SRM v1.1 and SRM v2.2 endpoints
(not there yet).
The srmcp client from dCache 1.8 is necessary if you are performing a
transfer and contacting an SRM2.2 endpoint. On the other hand you can
use dCache 1.7 client and contact dCache 1.8 server using SRM1, and
specify a SRM V2.2 endpoint at the remote source or destination.
Hope that helps.
