That should work fine. All the install script does is symlink in the
folder for your architecture ready for the installer to copy from. You
could modify the fslconfigure script so that hosttype matches the
output you get on your system.
In your case edit the case statement so that you have:
case $hosttype in
apple | linux_32 | linux_64 | gnu_64 )
and then copy the linux_64 folder as gnu_64.
