The Department of Public Health & Epidemiology, University of Birmingham
are running a heavily discounted series of 12 workshops. The first of the
workshops will run on Tuesday 15th January and the remainder will be half
day workshops from 12.30-4.30pm. The maximum number of participants will
be 25 so places are limited.
These workshops are designed to teach participants the whole range of
critical appraisal skills. They can be booked as a programme or
individually, but it would be beneficial if you are considering attending
workshops 7 and/or 8 to have attended workshops 3 and 4 although it is not
absolutely necessary.
Basic knowledge of excel would be beneficial if you intend booking onto
the Disease Cluster workshop in November.
Our method of teaching has proved very popular, this is substantiated by
testimonials from previous participants which include
“Clear but humorous presentation, innovative teaching methods, perfect.”
“I have done a lot of statistics many times before and this was the best
taught course I have ever had.”
“Excellent – much to learn and learned much.”
“Was more interesting than any other research study attended.”
“I will now be more confident when reading research and may even carry out
some of my own now.”
