There is a vacancy for a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Public Health at
the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin. The College is an
independent medical school, founded by royal charter in 1784.
The RCSI Division of Population Health Sciences, incorporating the
Departments of Epidemiology & Public Health Medicine, Psychology and
General Practice brings together a critical mass of academic and
research professionals working in the area of population health,
primary care and health services research.
The post
This key role supports the teaching programme of the Department of
Epidemiology and Public Health, with a lead responsibility for the
delivery of the RCSI Graduate Entry Programme in Medicine. Role
responsibilities include conducting research in population health and/
or health services.
The appointment may be made at Senior Lecturer or Lecturer level
depending on the experience and track record of the successful
candidate. Applicants will hold a Masters Degree in Public Health or
equivalent, with a strong research track record and the ability to
teach Public Health Medicine topic areas. The successful candidate
will be a team player and demonstrate excellent communication and
interpersonal skills.
