That's a good question. I think that for my audience, that would situate
what I was writing in what is called "traditional witchcraft." There's a
lot of hostility between Wicca and traditional witchcraft, at least in
the US. I would not want to alienate Wiccans. And even though I am not
probably going to have many readers from the ceremonial magic crowd, a
lot of ceremonial magic uses the same attributions for herbs.
European-rooted magic? I dont know why I can't come up with something
more succinct.
