Hi Frances
Sorry I didn't reply sooner - day job got in the way.
LIS-COMMUNITIES has 889 registered users (plus 46 "concealed subscribers",
whatever they are). I don't know how many are "active" (ie post to the list
or read all the posts on the list)
CoP has 15,836 registered users. Again, difficult to know how many are
"active", but the CILIP Council Elections hustings had 3,658 views, and
since the hustings started, views of the related threads (CILIP COUNCIL
2008, Governance Implementation, New Business Model, Member Communications)
have totalled 748 so far.
My point was not to suggest CoP is in some way more successful, or active
etc than LIS-COMMUNITIES, but that LIS-COMMUNITIES is just one of a large
number of smallish online communities that deal with LIS, and that within
CoP a forum was specifically set up for CILIP Members to debate issues with
Council Candidates and elected Trustees.
Anyone who wants to see the forum, please click below:

Hope this helps
Bruce

What a jolly good idea
Also Bruce you have mentioned people using lists, what numbers are
registered for CoP and how many regular users?
