DEPARTMENT OF EPIDEMIOLOGY AND POPULATION HEALTH
SENIOR APPOINTMENT IN INFECTIOUS DISEASE MODELLING
The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world leader in
the epidemiology of infectious disease. We have recently created a
Centre for Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Diseases and are
seeking a senior academic to play a key role in development of the
Centre and to promote and coordinate research and teaching in this
area within the School. A special feature of this post is the
opportunity to develop and validate models using data from the
School's many large-scale epidemiological field projects in
developing countries.
We are looking for a senior researcher, with proven experience in
infectious disease modelling, experience of working with large
datasets, familiarity with public health and epidemiology, and a
proven track record of publications and research funding. The
appointment will be at professor, reader or senior lecturer level,
depending on qualifications and experience
