Town board endorses proposal for veterans mental health treatment

LAUGHLIN - The proposal for a private mental health treatment program in
Laughlin for U.S. military veterans received a 5-0 endorsement vote from
the Town Advisory Board at its Nov. 15 post-Veterans Day meeting.
Members of the board, along with the members of each of its four
standing committees - three dozen community leaders - will be asked to
add their autographs to the endorsement letter to show a cross-section
of wide community support for the project.
Jamie Gastineau of Laughlin has been working on his proposal for a
“Therapeutic Community Model (TCM)” to “offer a safe environment” for
veterans suffering traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) and/or post trauma
stress disorders (PTSDs)....
