Dear Colleagues
The British Academy has commissioned the LSE to carry out a research study
entitled:
'Maximising the impact of humanities and social science research'. This
will produce a report which examines the impacts that humanities and social
science (HSS)academic research has on government and policymakers, civil
society, businesses and the UK economy more generally.
They have set up a page for the study on the British Academy site:
http://www.britac.ac.uk/reports/impact-survey/. This gives more details
about the project and hosts an online public survey designed to allow
individual HSS academics to take part in the research.
The Social Policy Association is already taking part in the survey and the
SPA Executive would like to encourage all of our members to take part in
this individual survey if they can.
The survey should take between 10 and 20 minutes to complete. It is
accessed by clicking the pink "fillout a survey" button. The survey is
freely accessible and needs no passwords.
We know that everyone is very busy but we hope that you will be able to
find time to do the survey.
Best wishes
Tess
