The Social Policy Association is holding a seminar in Manchester on Friday
January 18th 2008, 10.30-4.00, to discuss the issues involved in developing a
code of research ethics for the Association. Speakers include: Ron Iphofen
(Bangor University, and member of the committee that drafted research ethics
guidelines for the Social Research Association); Azrini Wahidrin (Queens
University Belfast, and British Society of Criminology) and Jan Pahl
(University of Kent).
The aim of the seminar is to learn from the experience of other professional
associations and to consult with the social policy community about issues
particular to social policy research and their implications for a code of
research ethics.
