Tomorrow (23 November) on Studio 360 (a radio station co-produced by
Public Radio International and WNYC New York Public Radio):
Actor Scott Shepherd from the Wooster Group takes on Hamlet by
engaging in a highly experimental “duet,” reciting Richard Burton’s
lines, and moving Burton’s moves, while the 1964 film plays behind
him. But he doesn’t like his co-star. Produced by Jenny Lawton.

And since we are all about AV, here's a link to the interactive New
York Times review (1/11/2007) on the Wooster Group’s current take on
Hamlet, which seems to boil down to a re-creation of a production of
“Hamlet” staged on Broadway 43 years ago, starring Burton and
directed by John Gielgud.

By the way, previous Shakespearean ventures by Studio 360 include
• a whole show (with George Wolfe, Harold Bloom and others) on
Shakespeare's cultural influence
http://www.studio360.org/yore/show112500.html
• a conversation with Ron Rosenbaum about his book Shakespeare Wars
http://www.studio360.org/episodes/2006/10/06
• color-blind casting and Shakespeare
http://www.studio360.org/episodes/2007/03/30
and
• a mashup of Homer Simpson and Shakespeare

Highly recommended.
Best wishes and tingling ears,
