Ah, well that does have to do with how we approach writing, Fred; &
your approach sure works for you (but I can only stand back & admire it
from a distance).
Her point, as I took it, was not to diss stories but to praise the
questioning stance, the openness to possibilities in language that her
own poetry manifests (& I know, I know, her poetry has as many
disparagers as it has those who find it fascinating, but I am among the
latter).
So, her poetics will strike some as 'gas, & others as a way in to a
possible kind of writing. I'm finding the essays terrifically
interesting, but that's because I also find their politics fascinating,
too.
Eventually, I think we (NeWest Press) will publish them.
