Ah, thanks Anny; it's neat to be in that collection of writings.
It seems clear that many of them will not please some of us, but I'm
interested, & will try to get to them.
Fairly eclectic, & so I like the impetus of this comment from CD
Wright's wonderful collection of bits & pieces, Cooling Time (& confess
that she's the Wright I read):
Poetry is like food, remarked one of my first teachers, freeing me to
dislike Rocky Mountain oysters and Robert Lowell. The menu is vast, the
list of things I don't want in my mouth relatively short. (p 6)
Ashbery is still on my menu, too...
