STAFFORDSHIRE CONFERENCE ON CLINICAL BIOMECHANICS, "Art of Subtle Foot Protection
Revisited"
April 25 - 26, 2008 - Stoke on Trent, UK
6th conference on clinical biomechanics will be hosted by Staffordshire University at the
University Campus, Stoke on Trent. As in previous years, this conference, while providing a
forum for information dissemination on clinical biomechanics, will facilitate discussion on
research and case studies in the field of applied biomechanical principles to the treatment
of patients and foot protection. This conference will focus on lower limb biomechanics with
an emphasis on therapeutic and sports footwear. The meeting will also give opportunities to
participate in workshops/ instructional lectures.
Our Keynote and Invited Speakers will include:
Dr Edward C Frederick, Ph.D. President, Exeter Research, Inc., and Adjunct Professor of Exercise Science, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA; Dr Denis Brunt, Ph.D. Professor, Department of Physical Therapy, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, USA; Dr Anthony Redmond, Ph.D. Department of Musculoskeletal Disease, University of Leeds, UK; Mr Simon Bartold, University of South Australia and Mr AM Horwood, Staffordshire University.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Short abstracts are to be submitted by post or e-mail by 30th January, 2008.
The text should be limited to two pages of A4, with the first page to include the Title of
Presentation, Author(s), Corresponding Author's Name, Address, Telephone number and e-mail
address. Second page should include a full abstract with introduction, methodology, results
and discussion.
Acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to the corresponding authors
by: 28th February, 2008
