A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Andrei Sanov at
the University of Arizona. The research project, funded by the National
Science Foundation, focuses on the structure and dynamics of negative ions
via photoelectron imaging and photofragment spectroscopies, combined with
ultrafast pump-probe techniques. For additional information please visit
the group web site at

Recent publications relevant to this position include the following
papers:

Phys. 127, 084302 (2007).
An ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and creative experimentalist
with a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, Chemical Physics or related fields,
and aspirations for an independent research career in industry or
academia. Preference will be given to qualified individuals with
laboratory experience in gas-phase spectroscopy, pulsed lasers and
high-vacuum systems.
The position is available immediately, but the starting date is
negotiable. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the
expectation of renewals, subject to mutual agreement and funding
availability. The compensation package will be competitive, including
health insurance and other employee benefits. The University of Arizona is
