Hi,
The Hertfordshire Record Society has published
_'Observations of the Weather', The Weather Diary of
Sir John Wittewronge of Rothamsted, 1684-1689,_ edited
by Margaret Harcourt Williams and John Stevenson.
Later, one of Wittewronge's descendants set up the
first arable crop research centre in the world at
Rothamsted manor, Harpenden, and weather recording
continues.
The diary is still in print.
Regards
Graham Javes
