ROVING WITH A PURPOSE *** NEW FOR 2008 ***
31 JANUARY 2008, LONDON
This intensive one-day course will give an introduction to the concept
of roving. Libraries who have adopted roving have found it increases
user and staff satisfaction, enabling them to reach the 'hidden
customer', those reluctant to leave their work space or hesitant to ask
for help.
PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS
* Roving: What it means and how it can improve services to library
users
* Developing responsive services - rethinking the learning
environment
* Meeter, greeter or bouncer? Supporting staff to feel confident
and respond positively to change
* Dealing with difficult and sensitive situations
