I'm trying to find out how many papers on Medline have been retracted -
in most cases I'm assuming this will be due to doubt over the scientific
integrity of the research. Unfortunately retracted papers are not the
only ones that contain the words retraction in the title - even a quick
scan reveals terms such as clot retraction and eyelid retraction, and,
as far as I know, there could be many more. Most retracted papers appear
to start with the word "Retraction" usually followed by the name of the
original paper that is being retracted. Does anybody have any
suggestions for how I could use this information to search for
"retraction" as the first word in a title?
