Hi Oliver,
SL(C)3 is only the reference platform if you remove the (C). The
reason we did not go with SLC3 is *explicitly* because the (C) version
changed too many packages with respect to RHEL. Hence your statement,
included directly below, is extremely misleading; it appears to
include "C" whereas the reason that SL was chosen was explicitly to
avoid dependence on the "C" specific stuff.
