The Nurse Practitioner Association has a meeting set up with BMA sometime
soon to do just that - reassure them that if a nurse was on this register
(bangs head on the table because of continued frustration, waiting for
register) then they would be educated to a specific standard.
NPs have battled to get things like prescribing, ordering investigations
because the powers that be think a nurse is a nurse, not that some are
working at an advanced level and actually quite good at it!
