Putting these two non-quotes in the same email seems at least
unfortunate and insensitive.
Drug reps in some (not a few, but not all) cases might well say 2
with justification, but there is no reason for the vast majority of
GPs to have any inclination to say or believe 1.
The vast majority of GPs are neither overpaid nor underworked. We
are not so grossly underpaid yet as to justify action (but the lack
of a genuine pay rise next year would change that), and the workload
is probably just on the tipping point for many between keeping going
and stopping.
Of course if the government, as I suspect, actually wants us to stop
/ pull out, they will probably find a way to make this happen.
Now would be a good time to cease all co-operation with CfH for 10
yrs or so until the government has demonstrated a consistent capacity
to keep electronic records safely.
But you never heard that ;-)
