Our Residential Research team is one of the largest and strongest in the
industry. Following the appointment of a Senior GIS Researcher, the
Geospatial Analysis section of the Research team is looking to expand its
range of existing services. We currently have a vacancy for the following
position:
GIS Analyst
Knight Frank’s Geospatial Analysis team deals with a variety of work in the
field of GIS, data management, and other related topics. Duties will
include
• Production of drive-time analysis, threshold analysis, proximity
analysis and some geospatial data management
• Production of high quality hard copy and electronic bespoke
products (for research reports and presentations)
• Acquisition of data and creation of new themes
• Liaison with customers and the ability to work with numerous
geospatial digital formats
Applicants should have a degree in GIS with 2+ year’s commercial experience
of ArcGIS and/or MapInfo focusing on the property services environment,
with some exposure to statistical tools such as SAS and SPSS. However,
consideration will be given to applicants who have relevant GIS experience
from a similar background.
A working understanding of relational databases (SQLServer, ArcSDE),
internet-mapping applications (ArcIMS) and ArcGIS extensions
(Geostatistical Analyst, Spatial Analyst) would be desirable. Experience of
Microsoft Office products, especially Access and Excel would also be
useful. Project management experience and the ability to write concise
reports will also be an advantage.
