You shouldn't be putting the installer and tar file into /usr/local -
this is the recommended install location.
So to summarise:
(1) Download fsl_installer.sh
(2) Download fsl-4.0.1-centos5_32.tar.gz
In both cases the web browser will ask you where to save it -
choose your Desktop folder
(3) in a terminal,
cd ~/Desktop
sh fsl_installer.sh
This assumes that you have downloaded the installer and tar file to
your Desktop folder - if you chose a different download location then
change to there before launching the installer.
