At the Institute for Psychology II (Department of Biological Psychology) of
the College of Natural Sciences at the Otto-von-Guericke University in
Magdeburg, the position of a
Post-doc
will be available as of January 1, 2008 for a period of 3 years. The salary
is according to E13 TV-L.
Job prerequisites are a PhD in Psychology, Biology, or a similar natural
science major. Furthermore, skills in electrophysiology, signal analysis and
programming are welcome.
Responsibilities involve research and teaching in Biological Psychology. The
candidate has to offer 2 undergraduate courses in German. Our research
concerns on electrophysiological correlates of human cognitive functions and
its disorders. We have a focus topics around visual and auditory perception,
attention, and memory. The project is integrated in an interdisciplinary
research group and closely cooperates with the Bernstein group for
computational neuroscience and the Center for Behavioral Brain Sciences.
The department has a 64-channel electroencephalograph. In addition, several
functional magnetic resonance scanners and a magnetoencephalograph are
available at the university.
