Subject: Drawing Duration
Dear all,
I am currently studying MA fine Art at Winchester
School of Art, and am specialising in Drawing. As
part if this course, I am conducting research into the
relationship between the drawn mark and our awareness
of time - specifically focussing on Henri Bergson's
concept of duration. Part of this research will be
conducted through my own visual practice, and I am
very intersted in reaching other artists who feel that
concepts of time are directly related to their
processes of making or showing work. My own drawings
combine film projection and traditional media - I
would be very interested to hear from anyone who uses
film in connection to their drawing, or has any
thoughts on how the two might (or should?) interact.
With many thanks,
Charlotte Knox-Williams
