Hi Angharad
You might be interested in two small books (around 30 pages)
that have come out of the No Longer Research About Us
Without Us Project here in Ireland. They are stories by
intellectually disabled people about their working lives in
Cork and would be a great resource for primary school
students up to the age of maybe even 10. Lots of pictures
and very accessible text makes them a very good read for
younger students as well.
'Seeking Community' a DVD/Book production about
intellectually disabled people's lives in community recently
published in New Zealand comes to mind - also a good read.
I can give you further contact details.
Sounds like a great project. I'd be very interested in how
you are getting on.
Kind regards
Carol Hamilton
