Hi Petr,
I suspect that dynamic/static is not the issue, it is rather that your
new OS does not use accelerated graphics.
compare and contrast the fps of glxgears -v
You are of course free to compile your own coot using the build-it
script. You can then edit coot-xx/src/Makefile and adjust coot_real_LDFLAGS
