As it happens, this was half in there, in the sense that the x position
was almost adjustable already (just a couple of lines missing in the C
code). But the y position was tricker, there was no way to do that, so
I've just added a slot for this. (The normal text offset is stored on
the PeakDim, so I stored this on the Peak.) It seems to work on the test
case I tried, so I checked it in. (It involves some changes to the C code
so will mean a re-compilation of the C, which should happen automatically
with the update mechanism.)
