If you thought that was expensive ............
Have a look at http://www.medichecks.com
I promise I have no vested (or even naked) interest in the establishment but
feel that it may be useful to UK members who are being told that they are
too expensive by their management.
I also use it as a frightener for overeager requestors and medical students
learning about proper usage of the laboratory.
with best wishes

Subject: Health screening
You will all be glad to know that for a mere £169 I can now have a screen
for ovarian cancer, comprising an ultrasound trans-vaginal scan and a CA125
blood test.If either of these tests is "positive" then I can be referred to
a Harley Street specialist within five days. The company recommend this test
is carried out annually on all women over 40 and is apparently not available
on the NHS. Well, that's all right then.
