At Worthing Hospital in UK, The DOME team (Dept of medicine for
Elderly) have been thrombolysing CVAs since June 07.
Dr. James Kelly, Dr. Patel and Dr. Tozer are in charge of this project
and will be able to give you details of the project.
The ED role is limited and the stroke team take over care of the
patient as soon as the ROSIER score can be established. However the
service is limited to Mon-Fri 9-5 at present due to manpower issues.
You could also contact Dr. Suzanne Brady, A&E Consultant at Worthing
Hospital for the details of the policy.
