TRACK COVERAGE
The E-Business and E-Government Applications track provides a forum for academics, practitioners and policy makers to present and discuss their latest findings in e-business and e-government as well as in the underlying technologies and infrastructure that support these applications. Three specific fields will be approached: 1) e-business which will incorporate e- commerce, m-commerce, and e-marketing, 2) e-government and e-public services with special emphasis on e-health, e-participation, and e- learning, and 3) other associated emerging topics. Both empirically and conceptually based papers are welcome. 

RECOMMENDED TOPICS
The E-Business and E-Government Applications track encourages the submission of research papers, research-in-progress papers, and panel and workshop proposals in the following areas (but not limited to):
 
* Defining and measuring e-business and e-commerce
* Conceptual frameworks for e-business and e-commerce
* Emerging e-business strategies and business models
* Organizational transformations associated with e-business/e-government
* The impact of e-business on business performance
* Emerging trends in e-marketing
* Differences between e-business and e-government
* Measuring e-government: Inputs, throughputs, outputs and outcomes
* Implementing e-government: From theory to practice
* E-participation and e-democracy
* ICTs and public policies: e-health and e-learning
* The management of e-business/e-government projects
* Security and privacy issues in e-business/e-government
* The future of e-business/e-government: Emerging technologies and infrastructure
* The use of the electronic signature by businesses and governments
* Interoperability
* Other e-business/e-government applications: ERP, MIS, GIS,...
 
Submission Types and Guidelines 

All papers for Conf-IRM2008 must be submitted electronically through the EDAS Conference Management System at http://edas.info/

Full Length Submissions
Submissions of no more than 5000 words, including references, appendices and title page, with a maximum of 5 figures/tables). Submissions have to be original, and previously unpublished, conceptual or empirical research manuscript for review. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings in their entirety. Highly rated papers by the reviewers will be considered for publications in selected Journals. 
Moreover, the best paper in terms of quality and suitability to the theme of the conference will be awarded the "Best Paper" Award during the conference. 

Research-in-Progress Submissions
Submissions of no more than 2000 words with a maximum of 3 figures/tables. 
All research-in-progress submissions will be published in the proceedings as short papers 

Developmental Workshops and Panel Submissions Submissions of not more than 1000 words. Proposals should include the objectives, issues to be covered and full details of all presenters. Half day developmental workshops are particularly welcomed. Workshop topics include but not limited to: theory building, research method & methodology, reviewing & publishing process, teaching & learning and the academic career. Method of presentation is at the submitter's discretion; however, the submitter has the responsibility for providing his/her own panel members. All accepted proposals will appear in the conference proceedings (Please note that all panelists must register for the conference). 

Important Information
- The number of submissions by an author (including joint authorship) is strictly limited to a maximum of two submissions.
- Authors of accepted papers (at least one person per submission) and all panel members MUST register and attend the conference.

Notification of Acceptance/Rejection: 1 February 2008 Final Submission and Early Registration due date: 14 March 2008
