Hi,
A student with Duchenne MD has been able to use a 'mini mouse', but is now
finding it too difficult to control. Another student with DMD I met recently
is successfully using a handheld trackball device but couldn't remember the
name of the device. Does anyone know of models of handheld trackball devices
(like the ones people sometimes use for presentations) that people with
serious dexterity problems due to DMD have had success using, so I can
suggest some models for him to try out?
Also, any suggestions for word prediction packages that might help, other
than Penfriend? Experiences would be helpful. This is an undergraduate
student who wants to use the package to access mainstream packages e.g.
Outlook Express, Word, etc, rather than an all-in-one prediction/word
processor.
Thanks
Ian
