Hi Paul,
The one person I know of in the UK who has been growing Arnica
montana and possibly the others, is Duncan Ross up in the Black Isle,
eastern Scotland, who runs an excellent biodynamic herb nursery,
called Pontzfield Herbs. His number is 01381 610352. They also have a
web site: www.poyntzfieldherbs.co.uk
I've grown Arnica chamissonis very successfully down here on Dartmoor
but we're not alpine enough for A.montana. I also have visited Weleda
in Germany who do wild harvest A. montana somewhere in the alps. You
could go through UK Weleda who would refer you to their herb
production people in Germany if you need to. Michael Bate is the
person to talk with who is their UK herb production manager, and he
will know who to talk to. Tel: 0115 9448238.
Good luck!
Pat
