External Relations Assistant, Society for Endocrinology
The Society for Endocrinology is the major British society representing scientists, clinicians and nurses who work with hormones. We currently have a vacancy for an External Relations Assistant, reporting to the External Relations Officer. The role holder will act as the first point of contact dealing with all enquiries for the Society from the general public, media and non-science/medical organisations as well as providing a wide range of administrative tasks.
The successful candidate will
* Have excellent interpersonal skills & good written English.
* Have proven administrative & organisational experience.
* Be able to build relationships with doctors, scientists and the media.
* Be able to deal sympathetically with sensitive patient and public enquiries.
* Ideally have experience of medical or science PR.
* Ideally have a biomedical qualification.
